The Mission

Planning a wedding can be stressful enough without considering all the waste that goes into an event. An average wedding can produce up to 400 lbs. of trash and 62 tons of CO2… but it doesn’t have to! I’ll let you in on a secret- you don’t need to sacrifice your dream wedding, or blow your budget, in order to have an eco-conscious wedding. Our focus is on sourcing local vendors and products, removing unnecessary waste, and creating celebrations that are unique to your values.

Amber Jackson

Amber is a originally a Minnesota girl (don’t ya know!) who landed in the PNW shortly after college. After five years of planning weddings and seeing the large amount of waste at each gathering, she decided to do something about it.

Thus Glacier Weddings & Events was born!

When not planning, designing, and coordinating events, you can find her binge watching The Great British Baking Show, checking out new restaurants with her husband and stepdaughter, or snuggling with her two cats Toots and Waffles.

  • Favorite Part of a Wedding: The First Look gets me every time!

  • Favorite Post-Wedding Ritual: Ordering cheap pizza on my way home so it arrives at the same time as me.

  • Coffee Order: Oat milk French Vanilla Latte. Hot! Always :)

  • Favorite Venue: I love a private home wedding!

inclusivity is key!

We believe that everyone should have a joyful wedding experience free from discrimination, prejudice, and exclusion. Regardless of race, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, age, size, family dynamic, or socioeconomic status, everyone deserve to have a stress-free wedding or event where they feel seen, loved, and heard. We strive to partner with vendors and venues that share our core values of sustainability, inclusion, and diversity.

LOVE IS LOVE.
